The backlog of blog post entries continues, meaning I've got a bucket of posts waiting in the wings and I'm playing catch-up. But I try to keep the posts self-contained, mostly, and focused on more singular topics, instead of being a collection of things that the blog helps me document and keep up with. Today's entry, for instance, is harkening all the way back to June 26th, another nice summer Saturday night in Winston-Salem, when the dinner was not all that special but certainly satisfied in all the right ways: roasted pork tenderloin, roasted spiced potatoes, and roasted Brussels sprouts. A few of those lemon cookies were still hanging around for a sweet finish while finally sitting down to watch Spike Lee's BlackkKlansman from 2018.
