Beginning the Roediger House Makeover

It's been just over five years since I bought the wonderful and amazing Roediger House in downtown Winston-Salem. While I can be grateful that it was in "move-in" condition, for the most part, I have been pretty neglectful of it since then, anticipating that I would try to do everything all at once, and be done with the big stuff.

Money has been saved, a home equity loan arranged for, architect's plans completed, and a general contractor contracted: Pete LaRoque of LaRoque Construction in Mocksville, NC.

Work begins Monday, November 3, 2008...five days shy of the fifth anniversary of my moving in.

I am so excited and for you. Everything is going to be amazing. Also thanks for the blog. You know that I will have more questions than Shane will answer. Remember anything that I can do to help in any way, just say the word.
