The depths of summertime, the quiet period with no scheduled events, a welcome houseguest on an extended stay, a heatwave, and some leftover vanilla sweet milk ice cream: sounds like a reason to pilot a new take on skillet peach cobbler, don't it? That was the follow-up to last Wednesday night's very Southern meal of pork ribs. We might have already been pretty stuffed well before the dessert was presented for consideration and consumption, but spoons undertook their task nobly and bellies were roundly satisfied, if you know what I mean. Let's just say: it all went to waist.
