The sad day of departure for a dear neighbor couple arrived this past Saturday, and it is a shame to have to bid them adieu. I thought some Cap’n Crunch cookies might ease their UHaul journey so I made a midday batch to hand off in between their loads up and down the stairs. Another neighbor also took a plate, as I’d promised to make these for him and his honey to sample. And a former neighbor had made rumblings about stopping by so I figured I’d best have a few to offer her as well. You know: just wanting to be neighborly.
