Last Monday night, by special request, it was a return to an approximation of Pa Arley's famous tacos. I based the taco meat on the approach from Hilah Johnson, although I deviate liberally, and I took a shortcut by buying crispy tostadas shells instead of frying corn tortillas in grease in the cast iron skillet like Pa Arley would have. With fresh tomato and onion, and an unhealthy dollop of sour cream, it proved a delicious evening meal in the late afternoon sunshine, with Sumner at my feet.
