The final Wednesday of June was hot and steamy, temps up to 99°F, and was spent working with coaches in the local school district, followed by an evening of grub-grabbing from whatever was left in the fridge. But at least there was a fresh-made dessert in honor of National Chocolate Pudding Day, a new take on it that was fully chocolatey and rich and—as the name promised—silky smooth. I've now tried out quite a few recipes for puddings in general, and several for chocolate pudding in particular. If I didn't love pudding so much, I might be more discerning. Or: maybe I just always make sure that, if it's pudding, it's going to be right.
