A week ago tonight, when Mookie and Kristen had come over for dinner, I'd already put in motion an extra dessert project: chocolate sugar cookies. Full though I was from chicken pot pie and Eddie's apple tort's double portions, I still had me a fresh hot sugar cookie when they came out of the oven. I also sent late-night notifications to neighbors who happily received their own plates of 'em.
