On yet another overcast rain-threatening April day—and the final April day, at that!—the hunger hit me full in the face and the main meal happened right around noon: skillet beef stroganoff, hearty, creamy, spicy, warm, and satisfying. The dependability of the recipe, its ease in preparation, its pleasing pasting of the palate: all these and more make it an almost too-regular go-to if I've got the right ingredients on hand.
While thunderstorms were forecast, they held off, which was good news for the runners in that Sunday morning's Foothills Craft Half Marathon.
Sumner was simultaneously intrigued...
...and pleased at the entertainment of so many friendly faces, so many of whom were delighted to see him too.
