It was another fine May day in Winston-Salem last Thursday, capped off with a delicious supper of spiced roasted salmon atop power greens with a creamy Caesar dressing. And with some Boston Cream Pie still available to be the sweet finisher, plus a generous dollop of even more homemade vanilla bean pudding...it was quite something.
As shown in the photo above, it was a bit exciting to check in on one of the cherry tomato plants and to see these early green babies now appearing.
The next day, I saw that the other, larger cherry tomato plant is putting out even bigger early clusters of promising fruits.
And with more sunshine coming through the persistent light cover of clouds, Sumner was more than happy to soak up some of it on the lush green grass of the rehabilitated rear lawn.
