The giddy vigor with which I tackle a meal of roasted spiced salmon fillet, best accompanied by a grand heap of roasted broccoli florets, is very nearly embarrassing. It's good that there are no TikTok videos of it.
That was the awesome dinner on the final day of February 2023. It's not the only thing of note on that stunningly gorgeous and spring-like day. Blossoms were still prominent on the Bradford pear (above) but the emerging leaves were really getting noticeable as well. And I also took note of the very early arrival of blossoms on the cherry trees as well:
Also appearing a bit early in the season was the first of the south property line azaleas:
And more of the camelia blooms were strutting in the back yard:
If February wants to exit on a high note, 77°F is music to my ears.
