It was a mid-day meal in the Roediger House last Saturday while the cold mists and drizzles accompanied a sharp drop in the temps. It called for the hearty comfort of a fantastic pot of bacon cheeseburger soup in such dreary conditions. I was not ready to still the hand what dipped into the bowl, but eventually my serving ran out and I was sufficiently restrained not to have another whole bowl of equal proportion.
