Halloween is now behind us, but last Saturday night we gathered for a double-bill movie night: Friday the 13th Part 2 and Friday the 13th Part III. It was my job to have dinner ready at the start of the evening, and the hard-to-adjust-to-chill in the fall air drew me to make the first fall batch of beef chili, as well as another pan of sweet southern cornbread.
