In belated celebration of Mookie's birthday, there was a dinner gathering of our six-person crew this past Sunday night. The menu needed to be special and I figured I'd try to make up for not producing this particular meal over the holidays. So we had New Year's Day meatballs, company mashed potatoes, and fancy green bean casserole, all of which enticed members of the party to return to the buffet counter in search of seconds.
