On January's final Friday, with its unforgiving chilliness in spite of the bright full sunshine, I had to have soup. The choice: ultimate cream of tomato, so that there would be good reason to bake a loaf of bread for grilled cheese sandwiches. Heavens to Betsy, and hold on to your knee britches: it was all so very good.
Admittedly, I am having mixed results with this English muffin toasting bread. I feel like it missed the mark significantly. But it certainly lent itself to the good works of cinnamon toast later that evening.
