The persistence of grey chill and wet weather marked the changeover from January to February. It was a dangerously dense fog on that last day of January, somewhat visible in this photo of Sumner.
February's first day was Wednesday, when it was even more chilly but at least a little less wet. I was glad to have still enough of the weekend's creamy tomato soup to inspire a fresh loaf of bread for grilled cheese sandwiches.
It was a fantastic lunch.
And Meyer lemon Atlantic Beach pie for evening dessert? Boo-yah.
