Let's reach back to just over a week ago, and focus on a Friday night's featured food for four: deviled chicken thighs, baked to a tender flavorful perfection, plus roasted baby red potatoes with a kickin' blackening spice, and a mess of well-roasted Brussels sprouts. 'Twas a tasty tummy-pleaser, if you ask me.
That day was also prime time for the cherry blossoms in the yard.
The late afternoon's sun broke through the earlier cloud cover but the windy chill of that late March day remained. Still, with a sky so blue and blossoms so pristinely white and glorious, it was worth capuring for posterity.
Just a reminder: that metal frame is for the summer movie nights.
The second iteration of daffodils illustrates that they are coming into their own...
...and I was getting a nice bunch of blooms on the newer camelia bushes on the slope of the back yard behind the kitchen.
