I was a bit taken aback to realize it's been over two years (and over 500 meals ago) since I last made 2 x 2 soup. It was long a soup staple here, showing up frequently both because of how easy it is to make but also how relished it is by congregants at the supper table. It returned by special request on the Wednesday evening between Christmas and New Year's Day and proved itself worthy yet again.
