Dateline: Fri 14 Aug. When dear friend Amy sends me a recipe suggestion, we often realize Instagram aligns its algorithm for folks like us. That latest example was for sausage pimento cheese quiche, and that was the Friday meal a couple weeks ago. An expiring pound of hot breakfast sausage and the last of a recent batch of homemade pimento cheese were helpful assistants in the endeavor. While I probably overstuffed it and left too little room for the egg-and-cream filling, it still baked up pretty terrific, and was all on its own more than enough for that night’s supper.
