Enough prime rib remained from Meal No. 4000 to use for Monday night leftovers, and it was a chance for me to try a variation on Texas toast, topped with everything bagel seasoning rather than sesame seeds alone. Once baked, my inartful technique resulted in compromised shaping of these rolls but their flavor and fluff were not affected. Once sliced, buttered, garlic’d, and toasted, they served as entirely suitable beds for cheese, chopped prime rib, sautéed onion, and one’s choice of cheddar melts sauce and/or red wine demi-glacĂ©. This meal was a big ol’ yum-fest.
