A Monday lunch meet-up with long-time dear colleagues from the High Point University Leadership Academy was a decent incentive for throwing together a double batch of white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. I hoped I could entice Barbara and Debra to sample them, of course, but I was also thinking about Debra's husband, Wayne: he has been reported to celebrate the appearance of my special blue-and-white plastic plates that regularly held the remnants from one of our school visits, when Debra returned to their house. I'm not sure my colleagues at an elementary school in DC minded me still having a few to share once I reported for work there last Tuesday morning; in fact, I was given a clear directive to do more cookie-bringing when I return for our final sessions in May.
