By all appearances, perhaps too similar to the previous evening's meal of turkey bacon ranch griddled sandwiches, the main meal last Monday was a simplified service: grilled cheese sandwiches on homemade peasant bread, enhanced with more of that spice-rubbed bacon that was left over. Slathered well with butter, griddled to a tasty toasty crust, cheese all melty and gooey, bacon happily tucked into the enveloping goodness: there is no shame if awash in culinary jealousy at the sight of it.
