Meal No. 4043: Poppy Seed Chicken Casserole

Under the sunny skies and welcome warmth of this most recent Valentine's Day—quite conveniently falling on a Saturday—it was four at the table for dinner, and out of the piping hot baking dish we partook of poppy seed chicken casserole. Oh, this ladle-full of comfort and good taste hardly had time to slowly spread out across the plate, as it was swiftly gobbled up/down. The joyous monotony of deliberately disappearing that main feature could be sidelined in short snatches by a stab or two at roasted hoisin whole green beans, and the salad was politely noticed by the free-swinging tines of otherwise focused forks. While a bit of creamy Caesar was available if that seemed the safer choice, I did make that afternoon a fresh batch of creamy avocado lime ranch dressing, ready to be abundantly drizzled as one might desire.
