With June Come the Daylilies
When I stepped out the back door the morning of June 1st, the delightful sight of the first blooming daylilies greeted me: Strutter's Ball.
By the middle of the day, the earliest blossoms of another bunch of daylilies up at the front wall were putting on their show (see photo above), and when I was washing up that evening at the kitchen sink, I saw the ones on the backyard slope were also busting out:
This way I've got more than oppressive heat making me glad that summer is upon us.
