Scotcheroos for Christmas
It's not really going to feel like Christmas unless I make at least one batch of scotcheroos. These simple concoctions, which I noted on a Rice Krispies cereal box back in the 1980s, were a staple of Jones Family fare at the holidays.
The problem was figuring out how to keep my younger niece Casey from eating all of them before the huge ham biscuit open house we had each Christmas Eve.
"Chocolate-Butterscotch Scotcheroos," from the Rice Krispies cereal box. I first noted and recorded this recipe in 1988.
