When the weather turned cold and clammy last Tuesday, I found it easy to settle on soup for the evening meal for the small crew on hand: Vierling Saloon chicken and wild rice soup. I think it was featured in one of those regional magazines from the midwest, and once introduced to us it quickly became a Jones Family favorite, although I see from the blog that it's been over a year since I last made it.
