A decent per pound price on a value pack of ribeyes makes my much-loved steak a more doable option. One of those steaks played a supporting role in the Friday night pasta dish, and the other two took center stage on a fine Labor Day Saturday when grilling was the ideal pursuit.
I also experimented with muffin tin scalloped potatoes, using a heretofore unpiloted recipe I had tucked away. A bit messier to put together and to clean up than a casserole version, but the terrific flavors still came through.
