On the final day of May, I found myself wide awake at about 4:30 am and I knew there would be no more immediate sleeping. I started my day with an energetic vibe in spite of the shorter night of sleep and was ready to take advantage of this beginning-of-summer work break to tackle a fun kitchen endeavor. I decided to try my hand at homemade cruffins, those evil little concoctions that combine croissantery with muffinery and gild it with plenty of cinnamon sugar. The timing was almost just right to bring them out hot and fresh for the after dinner hangtime while a movie was watched upstairs.
