It was a wonderful gathering of six at dinnertime on Saturday night, a long overdue reunion of the crew often called the most regular Roediger House regulars. Everybody's lives have evolved and entered new phases and it makes the get-togethers harder to come by, and all the more treasured when they do happen. To allow maximum together time for conversation and pool-playing, I decided to make a big pot of Brunswick Stew and a skillet of sweet southern cornbread. This proved to be a smart second life to give to the balance of baby back ribs I'd already roasted.
