Meal No. 1783: Hoisin-Soy Chicken Legs
With the arrival of sweet and amazing Sumner to the Roediger House last Friday, a mood for celebration was in order. The faithful crew of six regular regulars was here, and on the dinner table (while Sumner tooled round and round it!) were hoisin-soy chicken legs, creamy mashed potatoes, and roasted parmesan asparagus. It was a delightful evening, time well-spent with old friends and, now, a particularly adorable new friend.
Inspiration and ideas from "Sticky Soy-Hoisin Chicken Thighs," by Kate Parham in Cooking Light, December 2013; and from "Spicy Hoisin Chicken," from Gourmet, May 2003.
"Creamy Mashed Potatoes," from Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman. Published online 03 November 2007.
