Pete sent me to Pine Hall Brick on Wednesday afternoon to pick out what we'll use for the fireplace that will be located between the kitchen proper and the eating nook/bay. It came down to two choices, which I'd intended to put up here on the blog with a voting mechanism, but there was no time for that. It did come down to the two at the right here, and the deciding factor was the realization that the brick style on the left (Burnt Cedar) would probably look too dark once it was up in a large wall that stretches up to a 10-foot ceiling. I told Pete my choice (Vintage Red Oversized) Thursday morning, and (as you can see from the video montage), the load was delivered early Thursday afternoon.
