Five Flavor Pound Cake
When I botched the red velvet pound cake recently, thanks to the unfortunate inadvertent substitution of self-rising flour, I figured I'd better make another dessert for that next night's meal. I still liked the idea of doing a pound cake, and another new version I went for is called Five Flavor Pound Cake. It was perfectly complimented by both the fresh fruit and whipped cream brought by the evening's guests and by the super decadent double chocolate liqueur ice cream I'd made a couple of days prior.
We all had to have small slivers, though, because the meal that night was mighty good.
