For last Sunday night's big beef brisket dinner, I tried to get back into good host mode. Before supper was served, there was a new batch of homemade pimento cheese to try to keep the crowd happy. And I also managed to get this here lemon lovers pound cake baked so that we'd have ourselves a dandy dessert to smack our lips on.
I also like that the recipe calls for a lemony-sweet icing to drizzle over the cake...and that the recipe overproduces and you're really just stuck having to drizzle more of that creamy goodness onto each slice.
