Last Thursday I was hoping I'd get a batch of cookies baked not only for the sweet treat of the household's desires, but also to share with the groups of students from the UNC School of the Arts Filmmaking program...but alas: they finished their preliminary location tasks and were gone before I could offer any. And boy howdy, did they miss out, because from the oven emerged the simply amazing lemon sugar cookies that are among our most favorite here. I might've snuck an extra for myself while I was on kitchen duty and out of sight of any curious onlookers.
