Today is Super Bowl Sunday, and the option was there to go yet again to the annual 6th & Vine private Super Bowl party. But that just wasn't what was called for tonight, and instead it was a perfect evening to have Sevika Kylie over and give her an evening of Indian delights. Along with a few more episodes of Doctor Who. Tonight's two-parter over dinner: "Silence in the Library" and "Forest of the Dead." Darned good episodes.
Before dinner, I managed to cut up some mango and prep, for the first time, some mango lassis. Still want to play around with the right balance of flavors, but I'm not displeased on this first effort. I saved mine for dessert after the meal.
Three weeks in a row, and the kitchen of the Roediger House has produced a meal of chicken tikka masala yet again. I might get interested enough, one of these days, to look back and see how many times I've made it total since the new kitchen got up and running and I got bold enough to delve into more interesting recipes for things. The new recipe in Cuisine at Home, that's proven itself so well, guided my steps these last three weeks, for tonight's Meal No. 217 but also for Meals No. 214 and 204. [Previous meals of chicken tikka masala with a different recipe that I jazzed up, making it Kickin' Chicken Tikka Ray-Sala, were No. 31, 34, and 65.]
