It was a birthday party kind of night at the Roediger House last Saturday night, with a gathering of RoHo regulars. We started with the 2012 Johnny Depp Dark Shadows movie. Before it was over, I was serving up hot grilled juicy burgers and chips.
Then we embarked on the inaugural playing of a Roediger House-created version of Cards Against Humanity based on the original Dark Shadows gothic soap opera.
It was tons of fun!
The evening's sweet ending was centered on chocolate éclair cake, which I'd not made since the week of Thanksgiving in 2016.
When I took Sumner out for a final time before bed, I also found a sneaky visitor hustling along the top of the rear property wall:
