Meal No. 1564: Thanksgiving on the Half-Year 2016

It has become a tradition of the Roediger House to host Thanksgiving on the Half-Year each Memorial Day, because having this grand holiday meal with a table full of friends ought not be limited to November and December, obviously. First observed in 2010, we hoped that this would be a gathering that could include those who might not be able to come on the Thanksgiving holiday because of family or travel and so on.

Thanksgiving on the Half-Year makes me very happy and grants the privilege yet again to have a fantastic meal with awesome people. Such was the case this past Monday night.

And there was even dessert: chocolate-coffee cheesecake with a mocha cream sauce. Three years ago, I used a "lightened" version of this recipe (which followed Meal No. 710), but I did not follow the lighter parts of it. It didn't turn out as well this go round, but people seemed to be able to choke it down, nonetheless.
