We seem to have plunged straight into a brief period of cold, wind, and drear, as though the gradual unfolding of Autumn had been canceled for this year. Since the regular regulars were reporting for supper on Saturday, an event built around a group binging of the just-released Netflix original The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, I thought only of chili and cornbread when planning our menu. Nobody seemed to mind, though, as we tossed those foodstuffs down our happy gullets.
