Meal No. 1496: Poppy Seed Chicken Casserole
Monday was a repeat of Sunday, in the weather department, with bright sunshine (mostly) and a slight breeze. I missed a major portion of it, because of jury duty here in Forsyth County, but no cases ended up going to trial and the whole lot of us were released after we returned from lunch at 2 pm. I came home, changed into my work clothes, and broke out the wheelbarrow and tools to get back to business with a little more yard work.
Above is pictured the built-up and mulch-covered planting area right outside the back door. I weeded first and then hauled topsoil yesterday and only got it partially mulched on Sunday. After jury duty, I was able to finish that before moving on to mulching the azalea beds along the south side of the property before dark caught me.
The Monday night dinner at the Roediger House, when some friends were able to join in, was a return to the fancier version of poppy seed chicken casserole, along with French cut green beans. We feasted on its deliciousness and then indulged for dessert in a few Girl Scout cookies.
