Death of a Butterfly Bush
Another one of the plants that I'd ordered from Spring Hill Nurseries has bitten the dust. This little Black Knight came last fall and seemed to do just fine through the winter and into the early spring. But it began showing signs of distress in June, and then completely gave up the ghost.
When I dug it up, I found that the good soil in the hole was plenty moist...too much so, perhaps?
I've already replaced it, though, with this beauty from Lowe's: a Nanho Purple Butterfly Bush.
