Possum #3 Taken Into Custody
At the end of the late-night walk with Cyprus on Thursday night, we came up the driveway and she immediately treed a young possum that was lurking around my compost pile. So I set up the Havahart® trap yet again and, this morning, that possum was in it.
The babies can be so cute, but let them get a little age on 'em, and they are some ugly, ugly rascals.
Even their feet are disgusting-looking:
It turns out that McNeely Pest Control was at the house today, and they were willing to take this possum with them, since they also do wildlife control. That saved me a trip out into the country somewhere to release it, although I'm not stopping to think about what their plans were for this little menace.
