The latest word in the ongoing saga of living in a house with a system installed by Barnette Heating & Air, Inc., of Mocksville, NC: it seems that Barnette thinks the brand-new unit up in the attic, which services the second floor areas, might possibly have a leak. Wow.
So I'll try to schedule with him soon to come back and investigate further. It does not make sense for the system to have been low on refrigerant (which brought them out a couple of weeks ago, when the system was not cooling).
Of course, still to address, somehow, among other things: the disparity in the cooling downstairs which leaves the master bedroom several degrees warmer than the rest of the house. We'll see what sort of blocking game Barnette brings to that when the time comes.
