The Cold Ain't Snapped Yet

Since it's hard enough to ever get any snow around here, I guess I should be glad that there are still traces lingering. But it's pretty unheard of for us to have snow still hanging around a full three weeks after it fell. But that's the case: it's now been exactly three weeks since the December 18 snowfall, and there can still be found the remnants beside the front steps and on either side of the driveway.



Frankly, I'd be happy for it to get warm enough to melt it. And to melt the permanent chill that seems to have settled in my old bones.
