Meal No. 216: Salmon Penne alla Vodka



Using a recipe in the November 2006 issue of Cook's Illustrated, tonight I tried my hand at Penne alla Vodka. It's a dish I had made once before, back in the days of the old kitchen, and to my tastes it ends up being sort of plain and ordinary. Still, that does not seem to slow down the speed or reduce the repetitions of the fork going to my mouth.

I did decide to up the ante a bit and toss a seared salmon filet on there, which proved a nice addition.
