Vanilla Layer Cake and Buttermilk Ice Cream
After our Friendsgiving feast the Sunday night before Thanksgiving, I offered up to our crew the option to also indulge in dessert. And it did feel like an indulgence, with silky vanilla cake with old-fashioned vanilla buttercream, along with rich and thick buttermilk ice cream that has rather a dreamy flavor. We might have done ourselves in, but at least there were several days for recovering before we all dove into our respective Thanksgiving meal ordeals.
