Playing the Flame Game

So, there was a little excitement behind the house this afternoon.



Exciting if you're a spectator, not so exciting if you're the victim.



These pictures were taken by going out on the upstairs balcony and then climbing up on the roof over the north end of the porch. It gave me a really good view of the parking lot behind the house, where this car had been parked so its passengers could escape to safety.



It's fortunate that the Central fire station is only blocks away, and the fire fighters were on the job really quickly.



By the time it was all said and done, I'd say we had a totaled car.
