As you might imagine, the weight-watching efforts of the last several months have put quite the kibosh on my dessert making. You'd have to go all the way back to the end of May for the last cake I made. But with folks over for a birthday dinner, I figured I could try out Hilah Johnson's tres leches cake and see if it would provide the right sweet note for a gathering of sweet people.
The consensus: the cake was pretty amazing. Might just have to make that one again!
