Meal No. 2039: Biscuits and Sausage Gravy

There were quite a few nice things about the start of the day this past Sunday. Near the top of the list: the gorgeous golden yellow of newly-emerging crocus that are a most welcome harbinger of the advent of spring:


And very close on their heels comes the quickly-stretching leaves of fresh spring daffodils:


The sun had returned following the cold mizzly drear of Saturday. At lunchtime, I put on the table the downhome favorite of biscuits and sausage gravy, tasty and hot from the cast iron skillet:
