A feast tonight for a tableful of awesome folks, including rare out-of-towners who I seldom get to see. The aptly-named New Year's Day Meatballs were a hit, and the layered green bean casserole seems to have many admirers. I also returned to the slow cooker version of scalloped potatoes, which tonight had a very cheesy and thick goop. It was all good, I'd say.
