Meal No. 3953: Smothered Pork Chops with Onion-Thyme Gravy

The supper time gets more special when Kristen and Mookie come over, as happened Sunday evening. An old favorite (there are plenty to choose from!) was resurrected: smothered braised pork chops in onion-thyme gravy. I also made Brussels sprouts gratin and roasted spiced potato cubes. It was a super spread that seemed to please all participants. We still left a little room for the last of the perfectly pillowy cinnamon rolls from the previous evening.

In the in-between hangtime up on the third floor, there was this very sweet moment when Kristen was flanked by two very sleepy and very contented pups.
