It took me until the third day of filming last weekend to get some goodies put together to offer up to the students from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. To make up for my shortcomings, I had some lemon cake ready to share as they started their day here on Monday, as the terrible grey and chill offered a stark and forbidding contrast to the previous day's sunshine and warmth.
Following the lunch break, there were a couple of platters of homemade chocolate fudge—one with walnuts and one without. That comes from a treasured recipe long enjoyed within the Jones family, whose secrets remain closely held.
